Conceptual Predesign as a Stopover for Mapping Natural Language Requirements Sentences to State Chart Patterns
نویسندگان
چکیده
Concerning data and object modeling, conceptual predesign proved useful in overcoming the impedance mismatch between conventional requirements analysis based on natural language and conceptual design. Within this contribution we will present first results on how the conceptual predesign model KCPM (Klagenfurt conceptual predesign model) may be used for the collection and mapping of dynamic requirements specifications (natural language text) to a state chart. This mapping is based on identifying specific requirements patterns within a predesign scheme that may be transformed into state diagram patterns.

A User Centered Approach to Requirements Modeling
The paper argues that the conventional methods for object oriented analysis and conceptual modeling suffer from lacks in requirements elicitation and validation by the end-user. Therefore, an intermediate level called ‘conceptual predesign’ is introduced between natural language requirements specification and conceptual design. The paper introduces the basic notions of a conceptual predesign mo...
متن کاملDeriving static and dynamic concepts from software requirements using sophisticated tagging
Natural language requirements specifications form the basis for the subsequent phase of the information system development process, namely the development of conceptual schemata. Both, the textual as well as the conceptual representations are not really appropriate for being thoroughly captured and validated by the ‘requirement holders’, i.e. the end users. Therefore, in our approach the textua...
متن کاملTowards Entropy-Based Requirements Elicitation
This paper presents our views towards constructing the universal parsing technique for the software requirements texts and the requirements elicitation technique based on the output of this parsing process. With the proposed parsing technique, it should be possible to achieve language-independent processing of the requirements texts. Source sentences are treated as systems with words as element...
متن کاملFrom Scenarios to KCPM Dynamic Schemas: Aspects of Automatic Mapping
Scenarios are a very popular means for describing and analyzing behavioral aspects on the level of natural language. In information systems design, they form the basis for a subsequent step of conceptual dynamic modeling. To enhance this step, linguistic instruments prove applicable for transforming scenarios into conceptual schemas of various models. This transformation usually consists of thr...
متن کاملTool Supported Aspectual Predesign
Aspectual predesign is an approach to user-verified mapping of the nonfunctional requirements to the system into the aspect-oriented design model. It is an extension of the Klagenfurt Conceptual Predesign. In this paper, we present the architecture of modular software tool aiming to support the aspectual predesign workflow. The XML-based Predesign Exchange Format (PEF) for conversionindependent...
